This sonata is a favourite amongst flute and recorder players. Handel adapted it into an organ concerto for himself to play which probably indicates his own fondness of the work. It is commonly listed in examination syllabuses. This edition includes an unedited (urtext) copy of the flute part in addition to an edited copy.
