This work was commissioned by the Riverina Conservatorium of Music for the Riverina Composer’s Festival, 2010. The premiere was given therein by: Flute – Brett Thompson; Viola – Tamaris Pfifer; Cello – Damien Johnson; Piano – Kate Thompson. The three contemplations are impressions of homo sapiens’ preoccupation with food in three different historical epochs: 1. Hunter gather, 2. Domestic, and 3. Commercial.
